Janel Spencer is host of the Poetry in San Diego blog. She is a sound artist who grew up in Tucson, AZ, with desert sunsets and saguaros. She loves to write poetry, sing, travel and attempt photography. She currently lives in San Diego, where she teaches writing at San Diego State University, works for Poetry International and is an associate member of Calypso Editions Press.
