Come eat, drink, watch, read, and celebrate at Amplified Ale Works, East Village. Mark your calendars! Sign up to read by email at or text (619) 957-3264. Please indicate in your message whether or not you’ve previously published work in SDPA.

Our anthology readings are more like parties: interactive, fun, inclusive, conversational, all about community. Our publisher, Anthony Blacksher, will start the night with some comments about the anthology and words of encouragement for those folks in the audience who want to publish with us (newcomers and regulars).

Special guests for the evening are UCSD professor/poet and upcoming judge of the 2022-23 Kowit Prize Kazim Ali, poet and SDPA’s social media guru Alana Contreras-Rodriguez, and publicist/poet Susan J. Farese.
