Poet’s Tree Live @ Old Globe & $1,000 Kowit/SDPA Submissions Open!

The times are changing! San Diegans began the transition back to work and school months ago. And now that summer is upon us, we are, albeit cautiously, off the sofa and off our screens and out the door! The beaches and pubs and restaurants and playhouses are calling!

If you are ready and looking for music and live poetry performance, the great Gill Sotu is hosting an outdoor, in-person poetry performance at the Old Globe. Hope you’ll join Karla Cordero, Michael Klam, Lem “Saint” Gonsalves, Joe Hernandez-Kolski, Lee Coulter, Marjorie Pezzoli, and Gill Sotu for POET’s TREE LIVE!

Date and Time: Tuesday, June 22 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

Location: Old Globe Plaza, 1363 Old Globe Way, San Diego, CA 92101

Old Globe Plaza

Live Piano and Featured Performers: Karla Cordero, Michael Klam, Lem “Saint” Gonsalves, Joe Hernandez-Kolski, Lee Coulter, Marjorie Pezzoli, and Gill Sotu

Parking: There is plenty of free parking all around.  Give yourself extra time to park and get there.  Depending on where you end up parking you may have to walk 5-10 min into the plaza (its a big, beautiful park).  If you can get to Balboa, and find yourself turned around, you can ask anyone who seems like they work at the park or in a museum and they will be able to point you in the direction of the Old Globe.  You can also look for the bell tower.  It is the tallest structure in the park.
